Exodus chapter one describes Israel’s multiplication in Egypt and Pharaoh’s oppression. Chapter two records the birth of Moses and his flight to Midian. Chapter three recounts the burning bush encounter at Horeb where God reveals His name. Chapter four details Moses’ commissioning and return to Egypt.

These chapters reveal wisdom about calling, courage, and divine deliverance. Oppression cannot prevent God’s purposes. Moses’ encounter at the burning bush shows that divine calling emerges in unexpected seasons. God equips those He calls and reassures them of His presence. Wisdom teaches us to recognise God’s voice, overcome insecurity, trust divine empowerment, and step forward in obedience to His mission.
